What does the role of a CCTV Operator involve?
SIA CCTV Course is required if you work as a CCTV operator (or supply operatives under a contract for services) who uses closed circuit television (CCTV) equipment to monitor the activities of a member of the public in a public or private place.
The CCTV Course is a 3-day training and is assessed by 2 multiple choice exams and a practical assessment. You will attain a Level 2 Qualification In CCTV Operations which will make you eligible for an SIA CCTV License or Public Space Surveillance License.
The Door Supervisor Licence allows holders to work as door supervisors in the private security industry.
Security Industry Authority (SIA) issues the licence, which is valid for three years. The SIA Door Supervisor Licence allows individuals to work in pubs, bars, shops, malls, office buildings and more. Its primary responsibility is keeping the public safe from harm and protecting private property.
